Can you explain what feels better or why that would be the case?
The ONLy thing a new in-tank filter should be able to fix would be a fuel starvation issue, which would be pretty noticeable with hesitation or missing/stuttering when running, especially at very high rpm's.

It feels less restricted, as a few others have stated on this thread, it makes perfect sense. An old, clogged fuel filter can obviously restrict the performance. Thanks for the useless negative input

I replaced my fuel filter yesterday and noticed better throttle response.

Took about 30 minutes to do. Pretty easy job to tackle.

I replaced my fuel strainer two years ago, for no reason other than it seemed like good preventative maintenance, it was inexpensive, and I thought it would be a fun task.

2 out of 3 isn't bad.

Nice to know I read in the thread alot of people felt a difference, my throttle response is pretty wack feeling only like it at WOT, going to give it a shot soon since I never heard of a lifetime filter especially from NISSAN.....

One change though: when putting it back together, connect the bottom fuel pump piece to the fuel filter before attaching the top piece with the sending unit. It makes it way easier to plug that one black plug onto the pump.

Be prepared to see dirty gas pour out when you take the filter out. Mine looked very sooty. The whole job took about 30 minutes and I had the laptop in the garage so I can follow along (I printed out the directions but lost them and didn't have a working printer at home).

I would add ECU reset and TPS relearn after seeing how much better mine is running at 123k miles after doing this. I wish I had done it earlier.

I just bought a 2002 maxima gle and guy already did plugs and suspension due to a rattle. plus he already did a transverse mount.
