I Got 8000k top and bottom on my 5.5 gen max and it looks awsome. Have had H.I.D fogs for over a years and i used them during the day and housing is 100% ok. Make sure u get the H3 bulbs which are short and fits into stock bulbs bracket. 6000k are also nice looking too. Just match headlights with fogs please because car looks stupid with different color fogs unless they are yellow.

Hey guys I just got the fog light hid kit and thenegativeand positive from the bulb don't fit, how did yu guys install the kit, did you guys cut it the plugs? Thanks I'm new

Do those HID fogs really give you guys more lighting without glaring everyone else? Mine only lights out the ground about 5 feet in front of the bumper at the most.

@CMAX.....that's what I'm talking about....8k's are AWESOME! I got 8k's in my Acura MDX both headlight and fogs...Amazing at night....can see really far down the road and the side of the road light up really good to warn those DEER don't run out!! LOL!

I adjusted fogs up slightly and my heads down slightly to fill the gap between the Headlights and the foglights....making one big solid a$$ pattern....the foglight adjustment hex is on the back of the foglight housing and I enlarged the access hole thru the back of the front valance for my 8mm socket to fit making adjusting a simple blindfolded process....

Do any of you have issues with inclement weather visibility having such high colors?
4300 and above are useless with fog and rain.
I have 3000 HID fogs for function and form.

note the further/less you go in kelvins, the more cops notice you. they'l do anything to hit you for lack of recon (its wonderful on the quota too)

at any rate the higher/lower spectrum is bad for visibility anyway. / defeats the purpose of high discharge.

Fog lights aren't meant to be used in the rain. They cause lots of light to be reflected off the road surface into other drivers eyes - hid or not. However most people leave them on in the rain..

Did you need a wire harness with the H3 fog light installation? i just installed some 35w 4300k's from Krytonbulds and they flicker I don't have a wiring harness for them - thanks in advance for yuro help

The H3 HID kit is not plug and play! You have to rewire it yourself. It will not fit in the HID positive and negative sto k connectors. There is a write up somewhere here on the forum. Google around im sure you'll find it quick. You have to cut thr wires going into the housing from the back side of the housing and strip the wires.

and its not difficult at all. Lead that goes into the bulb is positive. The other that's not on the bulb is obviously negative. From the ballast red=power black=neg. The rest explains itself.

I know I'm late but better late than never. I just installed mines today. I had to actually push the little metal part that the bulb sits behind forward a little with a screw driver because the bulb was longer than the stock one. Also I had to cut the wire on the 8k bulb and drill fatter holes in the little rubber piece that locks on the back of the fog light so moisture and crap don't get in there.....after I drilled the rubber holes big enough was able to get the wires from the 8k bulb through there and I just used butt connectors to connect the other part I cut off.....I also had to remove the stock neg and pos wires from that lock thing...cut them off and put some female connectors on the end so that the wire coming off the ballast can fit on there. Every time I cut something and spliced I would test and turn on the light to see if it worked instead of doing the WHOLE thing and not knowing where I messed up at. I mounted the ballast on the bracket that the HID is screwed to with 3M double sided tape and used 3 zip ties to hold it in place around the bracket. While I was under the car those old snap screws were all worn out...I zip tied all those holes up with thick black zip ties so now everything is nice and tight under there.......pic of results at top......did not think about taking pics of the job...it was HOT as hell outside and I was in the sun in front of my apartment trying not to dehydrate.

PS: Rolling the car up on ramps helped big time! Also the driver side is easier to maneuver because there is not reservoir tank like there is on the passenger side.

It's a #74. In case you want it led I would suggest a pair of the 5050 smd in #74/t5 bases (for the light output). Then replace the light under your ac controls too. The automatic shifter light on a 5.5 and the ignition ring, ash tray, and gauges are also the same size. My led swapping all started with getting new hid bulbs.

Just make sure that you aim low so that you don't blind incoming traffic with your HID please.

I get blinded by HID in reflector based hadlight too much lately.....

I think it's a US company that sales the Digital and Analog Xetronic HID kit (Made in Japan) or the lower price Fusion HID (Made In China)!!!!! They have an 888 toll free #......??????

I was going to upgrade my fogs this week. But when i go to ddmtuning.com I get a page error. Any thoughts on if this is a perm site down? and yes its a old thread bump but i thought it would be better then starting another :/
