HELP!!! Opening 02-03 fog lights
#2
As in baking them open? If they're OEM and sealed as well the 4th gen fogs, it's gonna take a lot of time, patience and heat.
I usually bake OEM 4th gen fogs at 300 degrees for a few hours, trying to pry them apart with a screwdriver every 30mins or so but you have to be careful because the glass is easy to chip.
Now if they're aftermarket housings with plastic lenses, 225 degrees for about 10mins or so should be enough.

I'm opening up my fogs to put yellow capsules in pretty soon so this is information I needed as well.

It didn't actually take, hours, we tried it on 235 first before asking for help but we got them lose after being in the oven on 300 for about 30 more minutes. In all it took about an hour or so.

For 4th gens, yes but apparently it's a lot easier for the 5th/5.5 gens.
These 4th gen fogs use a TON of butly and are almost pressed together super tight. It takes a lot of work and patience. That's why most people don't AE or retro those fogs. I've even seen people dremel them apart > the baking method, it's that insane.
