NWP spacers install help
okay, I've removed the intake and am now stuck removing the bracket near the firewall. The lower bolts are not budging. I broke my Home Depot wrench! Husky my a$$!
Does it really have to be removed? This is beginning to look a little scarier than I expected. A lot of nuts, bolts and hoses.
Do the lower intake spacers make a significant difference?
Who wants to drive to NH and finish this for me for $100?

It'll come off. It's realy stubborn. My advice is use a long handle 12mm wrench, put it at 3 o'clock postion, so it sticks out to the right side of the engine, and hit it down with hammer to break it loose.

I'm still wary of removing the LIM. It looks a little scary.

I'm leaving the throttle body for now. I moved on to the LIM. I removed it, got the 1-minute gasket added (looks just like the pics), but when I put the LIM back on and torqued I can shine a flashlight down the ports and see where some of the gasket has leaked out. Does this mean I used too much? Should I removed them and redo?

I just did the job this morning in +/- 3 hours. Yeah the two bolts holding the bracket were tight as hell, I had to use a breaker bar to get em off.
None of the other bolts were hard to remove, so with the proper tools, you should be able to get them off too.
The only thing I didn't install is the TB coolant bypass. I'm scared that in the winter time, when it freezes, my TB would be frozen so I will probably leave it as is.
Barristan > apply just a little bit of RTV and spread it on the spacers with your fingers just to leave a small film. You don't need much thickness to make a good seal. Too much of it isn't good.

okay, almost done. I have one port on the back of the intake (left side) that I can't seem to find a hose for.(nevermind, I found it)
Now I seem to have one extra hose on the right side that has no home. The other end is connected down below somewhere.
Also, what am I supposed to do with the "Intake Manifold Upper Collector Coolant Bypass Fitting"; the brass hose thing.

Yeah, It looks like it hasn't been connected for a while. I bought it with a CAI already installed.

I am also having difficulty figuring out where this bracket goes.

I've got it all back together and did the idle relearn process but the car will not start now. The lights flash rapidly but nothing else. What did I miss?
