Stopped accelerating all of a sudden
Okay today on my way back from work, hella hot. So i got my ac on full auto At 60 degs. Subs blarin in traffic at a red light. Go to step on gAs and no acceleration. I was like wts! So i push 70% throttle Nd launch off the red light.
Got home today checked charging system. At idle with nothing on its at 13.7. Is that normal? Okay so. Lights on only still at 13.6-.7 so thats not doing anything. Go turn on ac, bam down to 12.5. Note this is at idle. So now i turn on subs full blaring wakin up neighbors loud and still 12.5. So is the battery just being weak mode? I am running off of an oem nissan battery manufactured in 06. Pretty sure its just the battery ****tin hard but jus makin sure.

+1 for clarification on nothing.
Without further information and making assumption about what you're talking about, I could throw out lots of stuff....heat soak, tranny fluid low, shifter linkage off, throttle body malfunction, accidently hit brake instead of gas....?

My 96 i30 did this exact same thing. Car wouldn't rev past 2500RPM from gas peddle but would rev fine if you pulled the throttle cable. Ended up being a clogged fuel filter. Replaced with a Fram Fuel Filter and all the power returned.

J/k. I'm certain this is not a battery issue, but sound electrical. Since our 5.5 gens are drive by wire, it would seem there was a malfuction in either the pedal or the throttle body itself. I'm not sure, but imagine the pedal is a glorified potentiometer, so there may be a brake/gap developing in the sensor...similar to the hiccups that occur in prior throttle cable set ups using the throttle position sensor. Easiest thing to do is take to Autozone or Advance and see if there is a pending code. I'd also try to repeat this event by sitting in park and very gently and slowly depressing the gas padal to see if there are any dead spots.

You've just explained fail safe mode and it's background.

But, perhaps you are right all along. In that case, fixing your inadequate grounds and power supply should ensure this never happens again.
