flashing auto light, what does it mean

When I start the sometimes the auto ( for the trans) light on the dash flashes 10x. I have gotten error codes for hard shift but I am able to clear them. So my question is: is this some kinda code or something?

seems fine...what's the color? What's the level? How did it smell? Look under the car for any leaks.

yes it is some kind of code. I am not sure how to pull the transmission condes, if they can be done off the standard OBD-II or not...

do you notice it shifting weird? Usually you won't get any flashes of the tranny code unless it's super bad...

Did you check the fluid level with the car running?

Are all the flashes the same length? If one flash is longer than the others, take a look at FSM page AT-54 to see which code the tranny is trying to represent for you.

I am getting DTC P0745 LINE PRESSURE SOLENOID VALVE error code, for hard shifts some times. So I did a drain and fill, for the trans about 1 month ago and was going to do another 1 soon. The drain and fill did not really helpl the problom, but it cant hurt. I am able to clear the code but after about a week it comes back. So I have not noticed the flashing (auto) light and thought it was new. I looked in the owners manuel and reads that if it flashes for for 8 sec. that thier's a problom with the trans. I have checked the level and no burt smell. I also checked the resister by the drivers strut and it was fine. All the flashes are the some length
