That's true in most sinces, but in the case of tires it's slightly different.
The contact patch of Tire to Pavement = Static friction, even when the car is moving.
I remember failing this problem in Dynamics last semester, because the contact patch on the tire remains static in relation to the ground.
Nelledge is correct, and the nightmares of Dynamics haunt me again.

To correctly phrase this, it would be more of an inertia problem exceeding the Static Friction of the tires.
That's why you want to roll the car a bit before you break all hell loose.

lol. The tv is a 2012 model and can be picked up for roughly $1700. I am on the fence about it since it does seem alot to spend on a tv but at the same time I do not want to get something that I will not be satisfied with for the next couple of years.

Go bigger and get Plasma. 
Called the body shop that's got the wife's outback for a status update, and I get told that the $1420 insurance estimate has morphed into a $3600 repair ! Shee-it, good thing we're only on the hook for the deductible.
The assessed value of the car is $4200 so it's in that territory...... I want it fixed, not totalled.

Don't get a plasma unless you are 100% sure about the way the light enters the room. Plasmas will only look good if you are able to play with sources of light, like windows/placement of tv, that sorta stuff. If you planning having the TV in a certain spot and there is glare it will be awful. If you have the ability to change positions of the TV, or if light isn't going to be a problem explore plasmas but you'll want to know this before purchasing one.

Cutting a hole in the firewall took forever for me, took all night because the motor was in the car so I could not fit a sawzall in there.
About 3x re-inforced dremel cutting blades, a drill and 6hrs later... I had a lame *** hole big enough to feed the cables through, that was the hardest part IMO.
But if you're going from Auto to 6MT......
Shiiidddddd........ Easy as fck then, hole is already there.

As for the Flywheel, rotational weight doesn't change engine output, I'd be blown away to find out different. It's a truth that I myself questioned quite a bit but enough research will lead to the inevitible fact that is just doesn't. And when you think about it, it makes perfect sense.
you're not changing intake/exhaust, fuel, really, ANYTHING that would actually change the numbers that the engine puts out.
Responsiveness, times, 'feel', etc, etc are all drastically changed, yes.
There IS one slight concession in this for a Flywheel on our cars, because they're DM, they could absorb a slight bit of power through the flow to the wheel. This i dunno about for sure but it's certainly possible in my book.
I know that the lwfw doesn't change engine output. But if it changes the rate of acceleration through the minimization of drive train loss, doesn't that mean the rollers on the dyno will spin faster? Thus resulting in a higher number on paper?
I'm thinking of it the same way you look at AT vs MT dynos. The engine puts out the same power of course. But the wheels see more of that power it was missing out on which results in a higher number on the dyno.
