Some shelters (and reputable breeders) have a multi-page questionaiire that gets filled out, and yard space is one of the questions.

How do they know anything? They can't. That's my point. I'm not saying you would suck as an owner(even though I feel that you want me to say that so you can go crawl into a fetal position and pretend the world is against you) or that an owner with a private yard would be better. You can never tell when you truly don't know people. However, the agencies must use statistics and intuition when it comes to these dogs. So, there are certain things they generically judge you on. It's the nature of the system. Like, no more dogs for gentlemen in green jerseys with the number 7 emblazoned across it.

Lol, There's been some questionable meals from Chinese places. One buffet in Milton, FL had a tooth in the meat. The person (old roommate) took it in and said it turned out to be a canine tooth.

There was this one place in Pensacola that got shut down, supposedly they were whoring out there daughter in the back room.

..how come I find out about the buffet bordello after it gets shut down?

THe guy in the black shorts must be addressed. A web on the elbow is a classic prison tattoo explaining to others in the know that you have done time. According to his he has done 3. Not possible considering he looks to be 18. The direction he is heading, he will certainly be in prison soon and they will cut that **** off of his arm. He will regret that greatly

This. If driving in upstate new york is any indication of the bulk of the rest of the country, man you guys drive slow.

you accuse me for misreading yet you misread yourself... i was simply saying that the process in which they find the "proper owner" for a dog sucks.... i didnt victimize myself u victimized me... can you provide the statistic for me because apparently i dont know, i guess the #1 reasons big dogs are in shelters is because people in town homes or apartments abandoned them

you and chester said to go the extra mile... aint no extra mile in an answer that says "NO, but you can adopt this beagle"

Nope.

You have this in Canada?

BTW, upstate NY frowns on speeds in excess of 150mph for some reason.

Ok. This is going nowhere. Let's forget about detail.

Bottom line? I think you should be able to adopt the dog you want as long as you're willing to provide the time and attention it needs. I believe you got shafted at one place and it left a bad taste in your mouth. Grab your toothbrush, pick up the phone, and go check out some more places. Adopting a dog is hard work, but I think it will yield good results if you find the right place.

You're asking him to post pics of his mods other than the exterior pics he occasionally posts? You will have better luck convincing a nun to become a stripper.

Good deal. Are you swinging by 'Chester's house for some grub and wine? I'm sure it's only a couple minutes out of your way. NY is a small state.

Why waste perfectly good hamburger meat? Dogs eat anything. Bring them some of that granola from your house.

The US speed limits are higher, but you guys seem to actually obide close to the speed limit. See we don't. We drive on average 20-40 km/h faster than the posted speed (12.5-25 mph over)

I think the way you guys have it set up is much, much smarter.

Rule of the thumb here is 5 mph and you're safe (cops won't give you a ticket), but people do 10-15 mph over the limit regularly. The ones doing the speed limit are either old people, on probation, or don't wanna get pulled over because they're drunk/have drugs in the car
