The big concern I have is that their V8 is their first in-house design. They went to the Germans to source the ZF transmission for it. Time will tell how well their first V8 design holds up. Hyundai's engine designs over the years have been hit and miss. Their 2.4 4cyl engines are notorious timing belt snappers. The 2.5 V6 they used to have is the complete opposite and gets high ratings for reliability.
I totally agree with 95% of this post, I think of what put Merlin over the edge is when a someone came out of no were and attacked merlin for speaking his mind . And merlin did have some truth to what he said about the dude bragging about what he got in detail... it should have just been locked and I think merlin was wrong fully banned . ... I think when I sober up I'm going to write a nice letter to the higher UP's
While i love my dek and maximas in general, my fanboy days are long gone... While i may hang on to this dek for a looong time i gotta say im liking a lot of cars outside the nissan family... Well i still like the G35/37 sedan but i find myself preferring the all the other cars in the maxima category over the maxima lol
If you're talking about newer stuff, Nissan just plain SUCKS. The interiors make me want to puke. Looks worse than GM, etc inside, horrid cheap interior. Even the Infiniti side is getting this treatment a bit.However, I'd never start a thread to tell anyone about my finacial purchases/gains.
they do suck stock, but at the same time they are built for a certain crowd. cant expect everyone to like them. my teg is base model, RS. not gona front would have been nice to find a LS or a GS w/ power windows and a sunroof etc of those 90-93 years, but i'm good w/ what i have and no regrets. it's all in the owners preference. i'd rather do a swap than drop the cash on a type r... or just get another GSR.

T- behr in the other thread you said I was going to sell my car I never said that . I said I was going back to stock and sselling my parts . dummy sold my headers to 98stillenmax and now decited to keep modding the maxima now that i have a new DD that im not allowed to mod r.
