Which other key fobs and keys will work?

Just wondering if key fobs from other Nissans from same time frame can be programmed to the max? Also can the keys be reprogrammed from one car to another?

I know about getting new ones and having a lock smith to do it. Also know how to program the remote.

I have a friend who runs the parts department at a local Nissan dealership so I can get new ones cheaper but was thinking of buying from someone that is parting out.

Ps, I searched

As long as they are the new style fob (02-06?) they are programmable. I worked for Nissan several years back, and had several used Nissan's on our lot that needed fobs, but none were in stock in parts. I remember I used one from a Pathfinder for an Altima, one from a Titan for a Sentra, and one from an Altima for a Maxima. As far as I know, they are not model specific by any means. They just need to be programmed.

FYI: Infiniti fobs are not cross-programmable. Not sure why, but I tried using 3 different Nissan fobs for an FX35 and it 100% would not work. Got an Infiniti fob, and it worked no problem.
