Even with the A/C off and you have the windows cracked.
you can feel air blowing from the bottom.
and you can adjust that tempurature to hot or cold
never notitced that.

My 89 does the same thing the mode door is not sealing
properly posibly due to it is not completely closing.
have the dealer check it out

Yes it's supposed to do that, if it bothers you put it on recirculate and it won't do it.

I do that too, only wish the recirculate setting was remembered every time I start the car (on a 2K).

Don't forget that other spot.....

Air also comes out of the doorhandle lever section on the Y21K's. I never noticed that on the '99 or the '96 models. I guess you can call it....wrist cooling!!

Slight amounts of fresh air are always supposed to come into the passenger compartment from various areas. This is to help alleviate driver strain by keeping the level of carbon dioxide down, as well as safety in keeping the level of carbon monoxide down. Its not a design flaw. All cars have some air that gets into the compartment from various areas.
