2002 Engine Wiring Harness

Please guys i need your help. I have a 2002 Nissan Maxima SE. A week after i got the car the car ran fine. then after the week it just stopped running. I bought it from craigslist. I know a mistake i made. So i now have the car at the local nissan dealership. They changed the ECM and Immobilizer it starts now total for that was 1700 and some change. ALOT of Money. But they told that the engine base harness or the wiring harness is damaged and i have to change it unless if i drive the car out and it happens again they are not responsible for it and i would have to basically pay 1700 again to buy the ECM and immobilizer and fix it because the harness is all linked to it. they gave me a quote for the harness and its 2600. I know it doesnt cost that much. so i went to the junk yard today and got one with my friend who is a mechanic for 30 dollars from a 2000 max. (i hope it fits when i go tomorrow). so my question is. Do anybody here know where I can get an Engine wiring/base harness from for cheap my budget is no more than 1k for it. as my bill already with nissan is 1700 for BS. Please help me out.

if i can attach the recommendation plan i will.

O.o bro slow down and breath a little before you kill yourself do some research first or your going to go broke for simple fix or thing that you can trouble shoot yourself. and bro 2000 and 2002 maxima are completely different the 2000 have a 3.0 set up harness connection are not the same man stay away from the steelier ship and get you car out of there asap tow that shyt if u have to trust me now own a max u have no choice to learn to fix stuff on you own this car are very sensitive and now and then u have to replace part as time goes by but the car is a beast when u master it we all on the org learn this with tears so good luck and everything you need to know is here we are u org ship free knowledge

The 2000 wire harness is definitely different from the 2002 harness. See if you can take that one back.

i know im new here, but if i had to guess, 2002 and 2003 should have the same engine wiring harness, im not sure how you didnt notice that the 2000 model had a completely different engine under the hood, but before id buy a harness, id check to see whats actually damaged on yours, it might be a simple fix with a couple dollars worth of electrical parts, normally on a harness the only way they are damaged is if the rubber shielding is worn off in spots, you can easily correct that without buying an entire harness. Now if its fire damaged like the one in my parts car, your screwed and a new harness is needed.

Okay I found one from the car-parts site thanks alot L36. So I told them that I found a engine harness from a 2002 to check the vin for me to see if it would fit my car they tell me that after speaking with Nissan they said it wouldn't work because of the different features each car has. Is this right? I'm calling BS. Isn't all 2002 max the same ****. Don't all year max have the same harness?

Thanks. Truthfully I really think they want me to spend the money on their recommendation plan that I didn't agree to.

All 2002 Maxima's are 3.5L engine. Any 2002 Maxima 3.5L engine harness will work. There is only one engine harness for the 2002 - 2003 3.5L engines. Just make sure its the harness before you buy it. Check to see if there are any DTC's on the car.

I was looking at part numbers and I find 2 different part numbers for the engine room harness (almost $1600!). The description is identical (i.e., for se, gle etc, auto trans) so I don't know why the different numbers.

It would be well worth your time to talk to an expert - Aackshun.

Actually the 02-03 engine harness for an AUTO is different than the one for the MANUAL tranny.

like I said....

If you still need the harness, pm me, I got one from 2002 with auto tranny that I can ship to your door.

Am I missing something here.. I just got back from ford.. There's no nissan dealership where I live so. I go where I take my truck. They only charged me$80 for a wiring harness
