5th Gen. Brake Rotor Differences

Muchachos,

Pardon my ignorance. I tried searching on here and on Google to no avail. Any who, I have a question. Is there any differences between brake rotors spread out through the generation.

For example, I am looking through ebay trying to look for some Slotted (non-drilled) rotors and the majority of stores have

Nissan MAXIMA [10/2000 - 2001] Manufacturer Date 10/2000 - 2001

Now, is there any difference between the rotors through out the generation? Maybe a couple of shims here and there?

Thanks!

00-01:11.0"
02-03: 11.65"
Both are junk!
upgrade to the 6th gen 12.6" setup> caliper, torque member, rotor preferably the 2005 on....

Yeah except you can't with stock 00-01 17" rims...Gotta upgrade the rims too, then...

You sure about that? Is it diameter (ID of rim) or offset that interferes?

It's the offset. The larger calipers won't clear factory 00-01 17's. They will clear 02-03 rims though.

It's debatable. Someone not too long ago was able to use the A34 Brake kit on his 00-01 with stock 00-01 SE wheels with no problem, no spacers.

All you need are the rotors and calipers (and obviously brake pads) from a 6th gen.

FYI...2000 model year has a difference in the rear calipers, pads, or shims based on the VIN number (manufacture date). I found this out at the dealer early on in my ownership.

This applies only to 2000 model years and NOT the brake rotors.
