Question about braking system

I have the sister of the Maxima- an I35 and was wondering what percentage of braking the front brakes handled compared to the rear ones? Is it 80/20? I have heard mid-2000s Chrysler vans for example have the front brakes handling like 95% of the braking, so they wear out a lot faster than the rear brakes. My Mercedes ML320 SUV also heavily relies on the front brakes.

Bought Hawk front pads. Been waiting to install mostly because had considered getting Hawk for the rears so could install at the same time......exactly for this reason. Thanks, good read.

From my observations, our maximas have a well balanced brake bias, and that is a good thing. My opinion comes from waching the brake pad wear on several maximas that i've owned. I am most likely wrong, but to me it feels like the bias is around 60/40. or 70/30. That is just what I peronaly think. So yeah, you don't have to worry about the front pads wearing out by themselfs a lot.

Years ago they use to say 70/30 but with all the new sensors on the cars these days it probably changes as to weight distribution. I use to have a 1989 Chrysler mini van that had a valve that would sense the weight in the rear and adjust the brake distribution accordingly.
