Nice pick-up! I swapped those same wheels on my Max this last weekend when I changed out the brake pads. Staggered set-up or square?

Currently dancing with the rear plugs. Max has 145K on it, and I know they need to be swapped (already did the front ones). Boooo, lots of oil in the driver side rear spark plug well (no surprise). Now searching max.org for that article that discusses the solution.

Giving her the Leatherique treatment to bring some life back into this 13y/o leather....being that the condition is already very good, i'm hoping one application will do the trick.

I cheated on the Maxima....with a sexy girl with big hips and nice ***

Maxi-pad got a new 2 door friend, this news is like a month old now but I haven't been on here so...

Got a 2014 370z sport 6MT (finally), I wish they made em in Sterling Mist, brilliant silver is just not all that great...

And no I'm not giving up on the Maxima, nor am I getting rid of the Maxi....
Speaking of which, the Maxi developed a slight belt squeal on startup and it's a new belt, me thinks my *** needs to tighten that.

Anyone who jumped to the Z forums from here? Let me know, I'd love to see some fellow Maxima peeps on the Z forums also

Installed new powerstop rotors and pads today. The eBay ones I got 2 months ago (put about 1000 miles on them) died. They were horrible. No stopping power and once heated they shock badly.

I painted my rotors and painted my rims. Painted the rims with peel coat. It's a temporary paint. I wanted to make sure I would like it before I made it permanent. Though with the prep I did I should of just bought the dark permanent rim paint.

^^rim color looks good on the car!

Yesterday i decided to swap out my 6mt tranny oil to redline mt. 3 quarts have been sitting in my shelf for few months now..
I wish i had done it sooner as the difference seems huge! Crisper shifts/reduced notchiness is what i observed so far. $44 well spent.

Old oil that came out was a dark opaque grey color.....i caught a sample in a water bottle. At roughly 3 inch height in bottle you couldnt really see thru it...but when poured it seemed opaque.

Congrats on the Z purchase! I'm on my350z.com. I picked up an '05 Roadster back in 2011 as my weekend/fair weather car.

DeusExMaxima is on that site, too. He has a long post on there about his Nismo Roadster build.

I'm sure there are more maxima/Z owners. A lot of the usernames look pretty familiar.

Painted the rear calipers and got the new rear powerstop rotor and brake pads. Installed a new main cat. Old one was rusted pretty badly. New one is leaking at the rear connection. Guess I need to get another gasket.

Cleaned off the peel coat paint on the rims and have two rims repainted with Dupli•Color Graphite. Sanded, primed, and painted. Still need to do the other two but need to buy more paint.

Replaced a bad front wheel bearing. The darn lower ball joint nut was stuck and wouldn't budge with any wrench or impact tool I used on it. I ended up taking down the entire lower control arm which made pressing the old bearing out and new bearing in a bit of a chore with the whole lower control arm still attached to the steering knuckle.

Got my clutch replaced a few days ago, been driving it and the difference is unreal.

Thankfully i am able to now utilize that beautiful power in that v6!

Clutch replaced, mech suggested i do the flywheel too. the cost was not somethigni wanted to go into, so clutch and pressure plate only.

what i learned: dual mass flywheel, two plates, instead of the clutch having the springs placed laterally to elevate initial contact, the fly wheel has it. the fly wheel was in OK shape, but now that the clutch doesnt slip, you can feel the stutter from the springs that are deteriorated.

parts from: rockauto.com - $251 CAN
service: Murreys Automatic Transmissions - $809 CAN

My cost up to date on this project is $5700

I will be making a thread for this but you guys get to see it first, here is my 'car sheet' as ive labelled it. In efforts to track all costs and estimate the total project i built this out:

Don't know if I would actually call this a catalytic converter. It's more of a straight pipe.

I put some 19x8.5 Infiniti m45 rims on the car. They look nice but I think I might go back down to 18's as these are a little too big for not being slammed in my opinion. I'm lowered on Eibach pro kit.

That makes it ever so slighly rich without tune on 4", right?

I have a set of 550s and figured it would be about dead on and require very little tuning (from the intake, going to take a lot from the 5.7 swap ).

Wow, those infiniti rims are terrible. It's like they took pointers from the ghetto. Never go full ghetto :P
