Off to the right you will see downloads... click on Osiris Installer.exe. When you install you will have the option to install Cipher. If you don't believe me try it yourself. BUT, you will need the cable.

My point was, OSIRUS wont work on our cars.
I did see this. Its in there. It said ecu version and it had a few digits. Dont know if its reading the model number or software version but its there.
Woot! ordered mine today.

Got the app too. Anything I need to make sure I do before I get into this once the obd thing arrives? Any certain settings? How do I get more gauges?

Heres some of my gauges

U can add several pages. I added a page of o2 sensor related gauges for diagnosing o2's. Very customizable, i'd love to see other ppls profile of gauges in this app. I dont think ive seen a emissions readiness monitor.
Check out nissanpartzone.com and enter your year, make, model. Go to the engine control module section and you will notice there is a list of modules by production date. Yours shows that there is a replacement part number for your module -- 5Y703RE. I don't know what the differences are but there must be some to create a new part#. I have a new part# as well. I'm going to keep searching to see what is different about the newest modules.
Mine should be here by next Friday since its right up the road in LA, moved pretty quick from China, might be a total of 7 days hopefully....

Kudos! I could only read data with my cheap cable. Thought I read that you needed something different (like the Blazt) to alter things like timing.
Gentlemen, advance your timing. In my sleep deprived state, I forgot the engine had to be warmed up. Worked with what I had.

And just incase... Here's a snapshot from Torque Pro

Idle RPM Adjustment also works like a charm. Increased up to 1500ish and back to normal just for the fun of it.

I just got the elm 327 today in the mail and bought car gauge pro app. I think everything worked, just I wanted to know how did you get it show "actual 17 BTDC" and the min/max. I went to ignition timing and clicked on list and went from "-1" to 2 and it saved but it just doesnt show if its on 15 or 17.

. I THINK it was under Data Parameters. You can check PIDS to view (multiple or single), select Ignition Timing *4. Maybe someone can verify that for him?
My phone has shattered and I can't pull up the app to view (kids are awesome). My replacement won't be in for like a week

Any of you guys had any popping noises from your exhaust when decelerating? I advanced the timing 2 degree and its flickers 17-18. I put it back to stock 15 degree and the popping stopped. I do use premium fuel all the day.
Popping like a backfire? That might be another issue unrelated, but what do I know. I personally didn't notice anything different with my exhaust.
Yeah it sounded like mini back fires as i decelerated off the gas. My car has no misfires whatsoever. I put the timing back to 15 and its perfectly fine. Changed it to 17 and it started doing it again when im on the highway, not at idle. I searched on google and it says its related to when you over advance your timing. But would just like to hear what everyone else has to say.
You might need to upgrade to better premium, depending on what you are currently running.
Here in Canada we have a choice between 91 octane (standard premium) and ultra 94, most guys I know only run the 94 after the timing advance.

Oh yes I forgot to mention it was at operating temp even after driving 30 mins to auto school. Everytime I change the timing and save it and go back to my gauge cluster it always changes back to 13 14.. I'm guessing the knock sensor retards the timing right away due to too much carbon deposits raising compression/temp. Idk just a guess as to why its not holding... thanks for the help guys!
Just upped my base timing two deg tonight, love this app. Didn't see the individual cylinder on/off feature though. Any directions on where that's at? Played around with the idle as I'm chasing a random misfire at idle so this feature would be VERY helpful.
Just updated my app and found it. Kinda strange though, i think it maybe does the front and rear bank and not individual cylinders on my car(02 maxima). Did read the wheel speed sensors though which is pretty slick, didn't know that I could connect to the other modules in the car.
