Power window

I'm new and I'm not good with computers. But I will try. I just purchased a 2002 SE. I went to roll down the rear passenger window, however it fail to go back up. I replaced the motor however it did not go up. I pulled the switch from the other door to see what would happen ..... same. I had to splice the connectors, so i thought maybe I change the wire set up, its only two wires. So the the window went up .... as i pressed down on the control switch. Same result as I also tried the control from the other side also. I anyone can understand what I'm typing and has an idea of what I can do next, the help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Does the window fail to go up from the driver door master switch, too?
