2002 Engine Covers..

Hey I was talking to another guy on here.. and I asked him.. if I took off the engine cover.. would it look .. odd.. or in other words would it look better with it on.. the reason why I ask is.. Cause I want to do my Engine w/ wire loom and with that covering it.. It is hard to put some on. There is wires underneath there isn't there?? please let me know.. Sorry if the Question seems dumb.. But I am blonde.

Who would buy it? It only fits the 3.5 liter engine, and the 3.5's already have one

i thought engine covers were just for looks? it makes the bay look much nicer and cleaner. if the engine could be damaged without it why dont all cars have covers?

I think the engine cover WON'T do any harm. Remember the '00-'01 I30's had covers and the maximas didn't. They both have the same engines just that one had the cover (since its Infiniti) and the other one didn't (which is Nissan). So I am sure it won't do any harm.

The 01 Anniversary Editions had engine covers, and those were the same engines as the rest of the 00-01's. So removing it won't do any harm.

i still think itz there for a reason.. i dont have the tools to remove it yet but once i get my lazy a$$ to sears and remove the cover i'll see if there is any possibility of damage from removal

I don't see what the reason woudl be though??? I think all you need is a screw driver or a rachet set, not sure though. You can always call up Nissan or ask your dealer if there is any harm in removing it.

We aren't talking about the spark park cover that says NISSAN 3000 V6, we are talking about the 2k2 engine cover.

You can see part of it in this picture.

There won't be as many wires to put the looms on with the engine cover on. It will still look good with looms around it. Then you can paint the engine color the same color as the looms
