Can someone tell me what the lateral link does?

What would be the symptoms of the bushings being bad in this part please? Are they liquid filled? I changed everything in my stock rear suspention but when I go over medium size bumps it feels like something id loose or banging.

That sounds like the lateral link/bushing that inside the middle of the rear beam. There is no liquid. It is only $24 bucks shipped.

The lateral link kinds the rearaxle from loose lateral movements and keep rear track consistent. w/o it your rear would fllex those flimsy little trailing arms to death/failure....

Oh man I bet this will help. Ordering it right now, thanks guys. Does it bolt in or does the diff need to come down like the install on the trailing arm bushings?

Perhaps, but not necessarily. Try to figure out what's wrong. The suspects include: a) All suspension parts, b) Your engine mounts, c) Steering parts, and d) Other miscellaneous. From my experience, (b) can be a major problem, and obviously so, also (a).
