Intermittent engine cutoff

The car runs normally and then with no warning cuts off. You can crank it back up but sometimes it takes 10 or 15 seconds of cranking but once cranked it again runs normally. Sometimes will go hundreds of miles between incidents some times 5 or 10.
Any Ideas?

Year/mileage? The crank- and/or camshaft sensors could be bad. There was a recall for this several years back. Check for codes if the SES light's on.

Yep, one of the cam sensors.

As suggested above by Mclasser and Child, it's one or both of your CAM and/or CRANK sensors. The sensor is failing intermittently. The failure episodes will become more and more frequent, until it fails hard. I would not wait .... just replace it. You can buy them at Rockauto.com for under forty dollars.
