Putts out with gas smell

I have a 2000 Nissan Maxima.

After starting the car, while in park, after a few minutes the car putts-out and there is a faint gas smell.

When this happens, remove the spark plugs and see if they are wet with gasoline. You may have leaking fuel injectors.

Is the check engine light on?
