Aftermarket Motor Mount Buzzing

Bought a eBay electronic motor mount because my motor was on the move during acceleration and braking. It stabilized it but man is that noise terrible. Buzzing while driving and then sometimes buzzing for a few seconds after shut off. Should I unplug that sucker? Does the noise mean the motor mount is adjustingfrom soft to firm?

Make sure you rev the motor above idle speed before you unplug so the mount stays in firm mode.

How much was the mount you got from ebay. Im asking because I got a rear mount from amazon, and filled the front with window weld, and that thing seems to vibrate like crazy at times.

Your mount should not buzz. On the OEM mount, the adjustment is imperceptible and there is no noise/buzz. It's definitely worthwhile unplugging your mount. When you do this, make sure engine RPMs are above 1000 RPM; that should keep it in the "hard" state. Should that fail, look for a different brand.

All 4 of my mounts are polyurethane inserts and I love it, once they break in vibration is very minimal

+1

I have the poly front and rear mounts and window welded the side and trans mount and I agree that after a short break in period most of the vibration issue is gone. I only noticed it at first when l was stopped and at idle. Other than that it was smooth.
