Tire Mechanics cant Remove my Wheel

I have the stocky sport rims on my I-35. I went to Americas Tire where they informed me "after waiting hours" that they can not change my tire because one of my lugnuts stuck on.. It looks like I over tightened one. They insist that I have the stub or the bearing hub replaced which cost a lot more..
They were using a high powered automatic tool to attempt removal.
Has anyone dealt with this issue? Could I just buy some Wd 40?

They weren't using a high enough powered one, otherwise, it would've just snapped off, then you can replace the stud.

That doesn't make a lot of sense. It's possible that a lug nut is stuck on but they could break it free with a long breaker bar. If it doesn't break free it will break the stud and then they can replace the stud or the hub after that. That's pretty much how you handle a stuck lug nut. The stud will break with enough force and a long breaker bar will create far more force than an air tool.

If they have a 3/4" or 1" air impact that would work too.

It wouldn't hurt to go ahead and spray some penetrating oil on it.

This is just another reason why the only shop I trust is one the I've set up in my garage.

No one gives 2 rat's a**es about fixing stuff ... it's all about replacing stuff.

... and you've mis-spoken in your thread title:
Tire Mechanics cant Remove my Wheel
These folks can't be tire mechanics since mechanics don't exist anymore.

just go to any tire place and have them go at it.
those guys will help you the jiffy lube guys are just there as a walmart type of employee they don't really try.

or get a breaker bar from harbor freight if that doesn't work for some reason get a map gas torch from home depot and heat it up.

You can do it, get a breaker bar and go at it, it will break in no time. Been there done that

Thats what I tried to tell him, but he said, because Im already missing a stub, that If he broke it, he could not legally allow me to drive my car from the shop with only 3 studs.. I may just take it off myself after spraying it

Sounds like the OP was down to 4 studs. Goes to tire shop and they cant replace a broken stud so out of legalities and fear they won't do the tire and put him down to 3 studs.

I can see now why they wouldn't want to break it but I also wonder why they wouldn't have replacements and could fix it and do the job.

Interesting situation.

It would have made sense, but they only do tires, they dont even do alignments, or anything related to Tires besides installing or repairing the tire itself. I know if it was pep boys they would have offered to fix it atleast. I guess Americas Tire is popular enough that they can afford to loose business, it wouldn't surprise me since the tires and warranties are so cheap.

Same Here!!!!!!!!! It's not that complicated...Just snap it off with a socket and breaker bar and call it the day! A stud is about $1 and a basic acorn lug nut is practically free!

That sounds reasonable. The shop has limitations and doesn't want to get in over their head. If you're not going to do it yourself, it needs to go to a real mechanic or a real underbody shop. They'll be able to handle it.

no spinning, just stuck on complexly, I know what your talking about though, my back wheel did that, it removed but got stuck right at the end, I was able to get it off after 3 people tried and failed, but it wouldn't go back on, so I have 4 lug nuts on my back left tire as well

Leverage is key, use a 1/2" breaker bar as long as possible. Slip a pipe over the handle if need be.

Check all other lugs and studs for damage if they have been over torqued. Replacing a bad stud is no big deal. Replacing the hub can become a PITA.
