Replacing HIDs with LED

Replacing HIDs with LED
My i30t Driver side Headlight is on its way out. I some LEDs.
When I tried to replace the Headlight bulb low beam (9006), the connector is different. Can I even replace HID with LED?
There is a ballast for the HID lights. I am not able figure out how to disconnect the Ballast.
Is this the ballast input connector. How exactly do you remove the connector. Press in the tab and pull out?

Downgrade meaning it will be less brighter?
Also the Ballast connector is to the lower right in the image.
Would this type of harness work instead of splicing -

It will be a downgrade because the housing is designed to reflect the light from the hid setup, not led's. Many led's are far worse for actually outward light dispersment. Basically the light doesn't shine where you need it to see. At a minimum you need to buy 360° LED'S for yellow bulb replacement. Not sure the science of hid's. LED's are brighter but who cares if it's btight 10' in front of you or the ditch on the side. It good be good for settin owl's in the trees overhead! I bought cheap headlamp assemblies designed for LED's to get me by until I do the HID upgrade.

De-pin it into a connector that uses the same pins but different body, or splice it into another Nissan connector assembly. I've been using 5.5th Gen power ballast for my 4th Gen foglights etc... the wiring is easy-peasy!

I have 2 new Philips D2S bulbs (p/n: 85122XV2C1) that I spent $130 and wasn't happy with the light spectrum, I prefer Xtralights HID bulbs performance...I'd let this go for $100 shipped. 35w 4500K (slight brighter than OEM 4300K...
