You are misunderstood. All three of those sensors are on the transmission side of the engine. The sensor in the pic is the crankshaft position sensor.

Thank you for that info!! Do i need any special tools other then a 10MM socket to remove the sensor? Also--I have has a slight rear main seal leak for years Very slight--would that effect the Cranksensor? I do not have a MIL light on and the car runs amaing at 175K full power dont even hear it running--Owned it from day one... I was going to remove that crank sensor and maybe clean it just for the hell of it--LOL But if you tell me oil and some dirt wont effect it i am good to go.. Thanks so much!! If its not broke leave it--Yes but in my mind i think about that oil getting on the sensor and causing me to get stuck! Thanks so much!

Sounds like you are good to go! At 200k, you've got your money's worth out of it! Good work on the maintenance. No special tools, 10mm will do it. I can see that you are indeed leaking. If it were my car, I'd drop the tranny and replace the main seal. Then I'd clean everything up til it was sparkly clean, then I'd replace everything I just took out with brand new crap, then I'd find other stuff that needed to be replaced while I had all that crap out and it was easy to get to, and by the time I was finished it would probably look like a different car. Some here would say I'm crazy, but that's just how I like to do things
