The speedometer P0500 thing

Hello 5th Gens. 3rd and 4th gen dinosaur stepping from the shadows. Purchased a 2001 cheap and trying to pass inspection.

Codes :

P0500 (VSS circuit A)

P1320 (Primary ignition Signal Fault)

P1612(pending)(key/immobilizer)

P0460(pending)(fuel level sensor A circuit)

Wheel ABS sensors and VSS replaced

No speedo movement at all

Shifts fine (auto)

Starts fine

Idle to be expected, not rough but occasional hiccup. About 140,000 miles. Needs tune up and filters, fresh gas.

Runs fine.

From here I plan on checking all fuses, wires, connections, plugs. I am under the impression that the actual gauge cluster plays a part in connectivity between ECM and transmission speed? Am I going in the right direction?

Test the gauges. Maybe the whole cluster is borked. P1320 is likely a coil pack. See if the dummies replaced one with non OEM. If not, then I guess it could be the thingy wrapped up in the loom. And if not that thingy, then have to swap em out one at a time till code stays off.

Update:
Codes disappeared for a few starts and idles to temp. Came back on, o/d light flashing. Is the trans dead or should I keep at the diagnostic clusterphuk?

See what the results are for the flashes. If gears 1-3 drive fine, then maybe just revolution sensor.

And check the codes lol
