You don't replace the ignition cylinders do you? I hope you just pop in a new ECU and program your existing key, right?

No ... i just replaced the ECU. Not the other stuff. But in case it didn't work,i got everything.
Because with everything you don't need NDS 2 or the dealer.
Because i haven't met a person that programed a 2000 Max or I30.That's why i used a 01 ECU.
Another thing in the NDS 2 program the real part number of the ECU is in there. And on the ECU there a part number. I don't think those part numbers matter . All you have to do is get the right engine,transmission..things like that. And it will work.
I can get ECU's for people all day long for $60 shipped. Manual for more. I have multiple Nissan ECU's,now.

I think you're right about the part number. I didn't even consider part number when I bought my ECU from a forum member for my swap. Worked fine. I don't even know what the old part number was or if it matched the one I bought.
