2001 Maxima ECU with no EGR in my 2000 i30 with EGR.
Picked up 2 ECU's. Got keys ,ignitions and immobilizers for both,in case 2000-2001 didn't program.
one out of a 2000 i30 auto ,with EGR.
And one out off a 2001 Maxima auto with no EGR.
Programed the 2001 ECU ,with the NDS 2. There was 0 problems or check engine lights. Drove 20 miles so far.
Looks like this is a easy way to get rid of EGR. And source another ECU ,because of bad IACV's.
This actually retrieves the codes from the ECU ,and nothings popped up yet.
I have Traction control on the i30,the button comes on and off like normal. I am starting to think traction control is not in the ECU.

You don't replace the ignition cylinders do you? I hope you just pop in a new ECU and program your existing key, right?
Nice work. Where did you pick up the ECUs? I need to either pull one or catch an ebay deal. Gotta have a spare!

Because with everything you don't need NDS 2 or the dealer.
Because i haven't met a person that programed a 2000 Max or I30.That's why i used a 01 ECU.
Another thing in the NDS 2 program the real part number of the ECU is in there. And on the ECU there a part number. I don't think those part numbers matter . All you have to do is get the right engine,transmission..things like that. And it will work.
I can get ECU's for people all day long for $60 shipped. Manual for more. I have multiple Nissan ECU's,now.
