Thinking of rebuilding rack instead of buying a reman. I was looking at the FSM for rebuilding it and it seems pretty strait forward. The only issue I see is it requires the removal and replacement of a 2-2.5mm stake. Anyone know where I can find these? They don't seem to be included in the seal kits. I haven't ordered yet, so I can not verify myself.

 

So reading more of the FSM and cleaning of the rack a little bit, it looks like this "staking" they talk about is just indenting the aluminum housing a little where the cap threads on. I am going to try and unscrew it once i find out the size wrench for the end cap.


Looks to be 1-1/2 inch. I am on my way to the hardware store to get an adjustable that can open that wide.
