Headlight blues

Hello folks,
So my left low beam bulb burned out. I bought 2 bulbs from Amazon. Installed it. Because the one I got from Amazon was a bit whiter I decided to do the passenger bulb as well even though it was still functioning.
Now, what's happening is that my passenger bulb, the one that was originally good does not turn on right away. It takes about 25 min or so for it to turn on. I'm inclined to think it's a loose ground or wire of some sort. But I did go through the wiring that are near the headlight assembly and found nothing loose. Wiggled the wires and it stayed on during the test. Following day again left for work one passenger side was off. When I got to work it was on.
Anything here that I should know about this setup?

stock HID hedlamp?

from the experience with my 02 maxima the ballast will outlast the bulb, I still have the stock Phillips bulbs. In 2014 I replaced my ballast with 50 watt DDM tuning ballasts. later on I had to change 9006 connector that connects to the ballast cause it had some corrosion.

Swap the bulb with the driver side bulb and see the outcome.

Bingo! Was gonna say the same thing. Even though new, the bulb could be bad. You ever take a dead household lightbulb and jiggle it and it starts to work again? That's because the broken filament made the connection and energizes. After you turn off the bulb and it cools, the filament disconnects until it gets jiggled again.

Yes, stock HID lamps.

Thanks for the tips folks. I was trying to avoid having to take off the other side. These light assemblies are so temperamental and weak. One of the aluminum holders broke on the other side. (The good working side) But, it is what it is. I'll take it apart and switch the bulbs to see what happens.

The Philips HID's seem to hold up pretty well.
I bought a pair of Hella HIS's and they burned out in 4 months....great color tho.

GOod to know, thanks.
I always remote start my car remotely. Today, I decided to start it remotely standing near the front lights. It was early morning and still dark outside. Started car and lights came on. The one side that I'm referring to quickly turned on for a quick split second and then shut off.
So as mentioned earlier I think it's the bulb. When cold it disconnects internally so it looks like it's defective.

You don't need to remove the whole assemblies. I swapped mine with them still in the car. It is a tight fit.

I know. When I said assembly I just meant the bulb connector. Although, I did remove the headlight to try and see if there was a semi-open wire but nothing so the bulb must be it.

Sure enough. I got a replacement bulb and it worked right away.
The old new bulb would come in for a split second and then turn off. Then, it would come on again after 20 or so minutes. Never had that happen to a brand new low beam bulb.

Thanks for the help folks.

HID does use a filament to cause the lighting effect that's an arc jumping between the two electrodes.
