Rockauto had some Sensen Chinese rear shocks for $13 ea. so I tried them out. They did not have dust boots but were larger in diameter than OEM. So far they ride nice. As long as they last a while it's all good. It's about what the junkyard charges for used ones, and you might have to pull them out.

I have tried FCS shocks for $11 ea. they were also very good. As for Monroe and Gabriel, I've never had any luck with those...some were spewing oil when new. KYB and Tokco are really good, but $75 ea.
