Base idle higher cleaning throttle body

I cleaned my TB on my 2002 5.5 gen and now my base idle is around 900 which is kicking a MIL for idle higher than expected. Will a battery reset fix this issue or is there any other way to adjust it back to base idle specs without taking it to the dealer?

There is an idle speed relearn procedure you can do yourself. I did it on mine a couple years ago. If you search the forums you can find the thread with the instructions.

How did you open it? If you leave the ignition on and not start the car and place a weighted object on the accelerator the butterfly will open allowing you to clean it thoroughly. If you forces it open by hand you'll need to buy another TB unit.
