2001 SE Anniversary throttle body
I've been busy trouble shooting the P0505 with the wandering idle (1100-1800rpm) for the last six months. Have replaced everything (with OEM) after the chip got smoked (and repaired) in the ECM from the IACV, TPS and all the O2 sensors and still have the wandering idle. Ironically when I have the HVAC is on it idles better at a solid 1000rpm, but still too high.
Was wondering if a throttle body from a 2000 SE would work on my 2001. I know, sounds stupid, but I have tried everything else. I'm so tired of it not idling properly, ready to pull my hair out.

Schmellyfart,
Once I saw your reply I installed the throttle body and kept my fingers crossed. I also did the IACV bypass. My 2001 SE is now running perfectly. Not sure what the issue is with my original throttle body, especially with new IACV, but I don’t really care at this point. For the first time in 9 months my car is running just like it used to, or more importantly, like it should.
Thanks for getting back to me.

hey when you say throttle body, can you take a picture and like, circle everything that came with the new TB?
new IACV new TPS new rubber new wires? lots of stuff is attached to the TB
I have personally previously replaced the TB and that did not solve anything for me
if you look at the "rpms surging" post just below this one problem sounds very similar...
