Radio Replacement (Help)

had my max sitting for a while 2k GLE got it up and running, radio stopped working I found the problem to be the Bose amp so i figured it was a great time to replace the radio.......Speakers.... and amp? no research or anyone prepared me for the door wire harness i had to use the little pop outs behind the harness to run the new speaker wire with enough slack so it doesn't pinch or get caught on anything i got the front speakers in got the radio basically hooked up to where i can use it/test before finishing it but the dimmer controls the led around the radio buttons my issue is it only works if i turn the dimmer all the way down <- to the left which darkens my HUD also the radio has brake detection that needs to be wired............
so i need help with 3 things Please
1.Dimmer - radio display is supposed to be synced with dimmer but when interior lights (dash/cluster) turns on the radio lights go off when interior lights turn off it turns on
2. Brake detection wire - where am i running this wire to?
3.Retain SWC- yeah some adapter from digital/canbus to analog

1. maybe it dims darker than what you can see in the daytime?

2. usually you can just ground it, if it's a Pioneer radio you have to use a toggle switch to cycle the ground circuit. Pioneer knows people just ground it so they complicated it.

3. check with Crutchfield, they should have what you need retain steering wheel controls.

well dimming is still there i feel like my dash doesn't light up as bright as it used to but that's a diff story (unless its not) i didn't have a light issue until i replaced my head unit
1. its not its on or off type deal seems like when cluster illuminates it goes dark and vice versa.
2.i have to connect this wire to the brake line...so when i hit the brake the dash cam shows im on my brake just need the closes wire im guessing the brake light switch just will have to wire it so the wire doesn't catch the pedal.
3.problem with having multiple vehicles is this one doesn't have the steering wheel controls .... so no need for help on that one lol Appreciate it tho!!

i took a few pics you can see the lighting

the wire for the brake line can just be grounded if it isn't a newer Pioneer Radio.

is your dash dimmer **** turned up?

yes i think i may have found the issue there is 2 different wires one is light switch the other is dimmer im going to swap it from dimmer to light switch and see if that works when i get home and for the brake line i think i have an idea for that it involves the old amp harness since im no longer using it which hopefully i can use the sub or amps 12v power for the camera if everything goes good i should have everything finished today i didn't realize this project was going to be so extensive

you want the camera to work with the reverse lights. I believe most radios go into camera mode as soon as the camera gets power and sends a video signal to the radio's camera RCA input.

Okay so since my car had the Bose config i was able to use the old harness for the yellow 12v that powered the amp so now the camera has constant power and i was able to use the amp signal wire as a reverse indicator so my camera comes on ( Hooked the new HU Rev-in wire to the factory amp on wire then in the trunk i ran a wire from the reverse light + to the amp on wire so now the camera turns on) when in reverse and since I didn't need the harness i used the factory front driver speaker wire from HU to Amp as my brake detection wire just ran it to the + brake wire next to reverse it gave my car a whole new look and sound even tho the bass is not as hard as the Bose config. and ik the passenger side of my car is trashed that's where all the spare parts went until I finished.
