I know all of the 2k,and 2k1 SE's come with the tinted "black chrome" MAXIMA lettering I want to buy one from each owner who has shaved their trunk...also it has been said that these letters are not just double sided tape that they are held on by screws or a hole in the trunk...unlike the 95-99's is this true?

I belive the badges are held on by some type of adhesive, not by screws.

According to the body shop I took my SE to last year, the Maxima emblem costs them $35.67 and the SE emblem costs them $18.91. Kind of hefty for plastic badges, if you ask me.

 

I went to my local dealer and got them for only
$16.57 each for a total of $35.13 after taxes...and they will be here today...

they have been good about hooking me up on stuff....
