Fan Blowing But No Air

It is spring time and it is getting warm again. I am trying to fix this nagging problem. My AC works. I can hear my fan blowing strong but there is very little if any air coming out of of vents. If I keep toggling the vent switch to change it from face to "face + foot" etc, the vent air will eventually work normal again. It sounds like I have some sort of air flow problem. This does not happen all the time but enough to be aggravating. So I am trying to fix this.

If there is a cabin air filter it's worth checking, might be plugged with leaves etc

I change my in cabin filter every 12 months. So a dirty filter is not the problem. If it was a dirty filter problem, then there will be reduced air flow constantly not just intermittent.

Not sure if this is the right answer however, have you thought about changing the cabin air filter?

I changed mine about 5 years ago. Let me tell you, it was filthy nasty!

It's not that hard a job.

I change my in cabin filter every 12 months. So it never gets to the point where it is so dirty that it restricts air flow.

I read on some other thread that it could be a faulty blend door actuator?

I discovered that there is a self diagnosis mode which will check the air and heating system systematically. You enter the diagnosis mode by pressing the off switch on the ac/heating panel 5+ times after you start the engine. There are several tests including ones to check the actuators and the different door modes. My car passed all the tests. So I will have to wait until my air vent acts up again and rerun the tests.

Just wanted to share the information in case others ever have the same problems as me.
