There have been 3 test done on the 2k2 Maxima. One from Motor Trend, another from Sport Compact Car and another from MSN.com. The fastest i've seen of the 3 was 6.4 sec. which doesn't make any sense when you see some maxima.org member's with the automatic's having acheived 1/4 mile times of 14.3 and less which would give them a 0-60 time around 5.8sec. Just know that a new Maxima with a 6spd is about as fast as a 2k2 Mustang GT and the auto is a bit faster than a 2000-2001 Maxima 5spd.

My car ran about 6 seconds flat when it was stock. It does about 5.8 now.

Just race and see who wins. It doesn't matter who wins or loses as long as you don't kill/injur anyone.

6sp. 2k2 max 0-60=5.9
Auto 2k2 max 0-60=6.4
5sp. 2k2 Altima 0-60=5.9 or 6.0
Auto 2k2 Altima 0-60=???

These times are based on what people have gotten in the 1/4 mile so +/- .2

And take it with a grain of salt b/c numbers mean very little in a race. If you read that the Altima is faster than the max in SCC, do a search and you'll find that their times are way off from what people are ACTUALLY getting at the track. NEVER give magazine times ANY credit, always go to the source, the people who actually take the time to go the track. 95% of the times in mags are inflated, especially Nissan times. Do a search next time and you'll find a lot more info.

Motor trend never tested the max, those SOB's. they just est. 6.4 seconds.

Funny thing is they estimated the 6spd CL-S at 6.1 seconds from 0-60, that really makes a lot of sense . The CL-S has "on paper" 5 more HP and 14 lb's less LB TQ(far less TQ in reality). To top it all off the CL-S weighs 200 lb's more then the max, upsurd? Why yes it is. This in my mind proves with out a dow't that motor trend is racist against nissan and favors Acura, how else would they give a car a .3 second advantage while it would obviusly be slower. This really ****ed me off

Occording to my G-Tech, 5.96 0-60 "stock"
With a intake I did 5.75.
The roads have been to sandy to get any decent #'s with my RT cat and exhaust. I should get 5.6 with a good lounch, traction problems are becoming more and more of an issue though.
