Underdrive Pulley

Is there any downsides of installing a underdrive pulley? and which type is best?

The only downside is if you plan to supercharge your car then the pulley is gonna have to come off. Besides that no downsides. Good Luck

Only downside I’ve seen is that I had so much fun with it my low fuel light came on at 250 miles.

Once I settled down, though, my mileage has improved by 1-2 MPG.

Underdriving hasn’t hurt any of my electronics except power steering: when the car is cold and barely moving, it’s a little tougher to turn. Nothing big.

I do have to say, now that it’s been a couple of weeks, the fun has worn off quite a bit. I still know the power is there, but it’s easy to forget. All-in-all, very much worth the money though.

Replacing your pulley with an aftermarket (lighter) one supposedly supplies less power to your accessories but it will still not affect it. I just installed it last night and haven't had any problems besides for the steering wheel. It's a bit stiffer but now I feel like I have more control on the turns. The RPM Revs up faster. It's pretty sweet, I would have to agree, it's well worth the money.
