Thanks for all the great feedback on my custom door pillars. If you have not already seen the images, look at this thread:

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.phtml?threadid=9849

I had these pieces custom made to my specifications. I finally found a place that would take my design template that I made out of oaktag and bring this information into the computer program that cuts the actual parts from the Carbon Fiber. It cost me extra to do this the first time, but it won't cost you extra since the design is now made. You can call New England Wood Dash at 1-800-396-3274 and speak to Eddie or the woman who answers. Tell them you want to order the 2000 Nissan Maxima 6 Piece carbon fiber door pillar kit that was a custom job. They should know what you are talking about. The cost for the 6 pieces is $60 plus a few dollars shipping. The turn around time should be pretty quick. I am not affiliated with them and do not make any money off this, but I have dealt with them on several occasions and have been very happy with their products and customer service. Even though their web site is not that great, they make real wood and CF kits for the Maxima, all years up to 2000+. You can call and get samples and they will send a diagram of the pieces in any kit you want. They are very good to deal with.

Just so there is no confusion, these are real carbon fiber trim pieces that will stick on to the door pillars that are already on the car. These parts are just like dash kit pieces with the 3M adhesive on the back, and don't worry, once they are on, they are not easily going to come off!

Enjoy, and if you do order them let me know if you want any install tips.

The are just for the 5th Gen, 2000+. However, you may attempt to have them custom made for your car if you make the templates and send them to the company. I paid $40 for that design phase, but to me it was worth it.

question, if you can help...

The pillars look awesome CF, but CF s not appealing to me.

I like the chrome look. Anyone out there know what type of material or film or stuff that i can use to make the pillars "chromed" out. specifically.

OR anyone know a company that can desgin and make them, Maximized posted that company that makes the CF pieces, but anyone know who can make the chrome pieces?

Cool looking carbon pieces...I'm looking at the Razo pedals for my 2000 SE 5sp. What size did you buy? The RP55(size Small) or the RP54 (Size L)??

Looks like to me the small pedal size would be close to OEM sizing?

Let me know...Thanks.

If you are a do it your self type, then maybe consider getting sheet alluminum, Home Depot, $7 for a 3'x2', thin ones. And make a template and cut the sheets to size and with some bending involved , 3M tape, and lots of polishing, you can have "chrome look" polished alluminum pillars.

I just spent the whole day making kick plates for the two from floor area on my 2K SE. They look pretty good. My post pics once I take them with my digital camera and figure out how to do it. They just look like brushed alluminum, too lazy to polish.

I went with the small, RP55. Just keep in mind that the razo gas pedal cover is flat, and the stock pedal is slightly arched. When you put it on at first you may think it looks a little funny, since you still see a small piece of the stock gas pedal underneath, but from where you sit you will never notice it.
