Avalon Racing Problems?

Hey guys, finally starting to do some mods to my 2001 and am having a problem with the folks at Avalon. Bought the JWT POP charger and they supplied with what I assume is the wrong mounting bracket, since it won't reach ANYTHING. Don is even at a loss on this one; they responded once stating it was the correct bracket, but nothing from my second e-mail to them asking for a pic or better description of the proper mounting location. If anyone has this installed, can you please send me a pic of the properly installed bracket? The bracket I was supplied with is only 4-5" in length and doesn't reach any bolt. Thanks! The problem is the bracket supplied by JWT

The problem is not specifically with us. We are already working with the manufacturer to find out the problem. We have a new bracket requested. We have used the product on numerous 2001's we have upgraded and was able to get to a bolt. We have not repsond3d to you second e-mail since we do not have an answer yet.

We do not add the brackets, they come as part of the kit.

We get well over 150+ e-mails a day and get to them as soon as possible.

Regards

I recognize that this isn't any of my business, but I have to say that not having an answer IS an answer provided it's communicated. Not responding, however, is NOT an answer nor does it tend to inspire customer confidence.

Just my opinion.

Understood.

We have to work issues and mail as we get them. With the volume we get, it does take a few days to work them. We have already started the resolution with JWT, but did not get to the customer yet.

Yes I agree would should have gotten back to him sooner.

We have been wrapped up in a supercharger that needs to be returned ASAP, a credit problem issue with a customer who's credit was denied, an EVC IV that was bad from from HKS. This alone took a day to diagnose to get to the point where HKS would admiot the product was bad. about 4 hours of phone conversations there alone.

Specifically we responded to the customer first e-mail and quite frankly did not get to his last one. We have to work issues in the order we get them.

Regards

Thanks, Paul. Acknowledging a problem is the first step in correcting it. Perhaps you could hire someone part time to review your mail and e-mails on a daily basis and separate those that deal with customer complaints and issues. That way you could presumably get to those issues sooner.

Just another thought.

I have been thinking about adding staff. We have an extra person already doing ahipping and have my sales maangers working on cars.

We have a project Z for a customer ( wide body ) kit + 700 horsepower. This has been a three month project alone. Add in our show schedule and race schedule.

We get very few complaints so it would be hard to justify a single person. Whe we do get them though, they seem to come in pairs.

Seems like an honest concern but I dont think your problem is with Avalon. Did you do a SEARCH or check the FAQ's? There may be some help in there for you also. Paul & Avalon are one of the best organizations to go to for good deals on Maxima parts. In my experiences with them, they have always been courteous, generous and have always gotten the parts that I needed in a timely manner and with no hassle. If you still are having concerns though, they did post that they are on it for you so...I would'nt worry about it. Paul is a cool guy and he always looks out for us .ORG guys...I'm sure this will work itself out.

Hey Rick2001, dont wanna sound sarcastic or ironic but just buy the Berk Tech or Frankencar intake and ask for a full refund, it took me 15 minutes to install and I've been running it for over 1 months now and everything is just fine plus no missing parts. As a distributor Avalon have a responsability, they're suppose to supply a complete product or refund, that's the law.

Cheers

Re: Re: Avalon Racing Problems?

Clearly the customer has that choice and we have always resolved return issues.

The product we supplied was as received from JWT. We own the responsibility to warranty the product and then work the issue with JWT.

The interesting part is we have installed a ton of these and a large number on 2001 Maxima's. My guess is a wrong bracket. There is always the option of a slight modification to the bracket that sits on the strut tower. This is not the optimum product resolution but will work.

Regards

The folks at Avalon have responded, the issue isn't with JWT or Avalon per say, just communication to get this problem resolved . . . I can see the light, I can see the light!

I am in Canada and had ordered from Avalon. They were quite helpful and replied to my few emails promptly. Canada custom can be a pain however.
