It seems like Nissan got the picture this year and realized that the SE is the way to go. Out here in AZ, I have seen lots of SE's and only a handful of GLE's. Do they still even make the GXE's??

Simple Answer: The GXE model is only 5% of total Maxima production. So you'll almost never see a 2K2 Max GXE. The GLE goes for about $30G+ and is pretty much fully loaded (the only major options are rear spoiler, meridian pkg and navi). The SE on the otherhand stickers beginning at $26G thru $32G and gives you a lot of 'mix & match' with the options.

I have a GLE... don't shoot, please. Hey, it was cheaper than a loaded automagic SE w/Navi! $28,859. Plus I like the fact that there was no rear spoiler & the rims are different, so now it almost looks like a completely different car... although I may just be madly in love with it & it's blinding my judgement!

i paid mid $24k ($28 out the door w/ tax, finance, etc), for a 2k SE w/ 17" rims. they even threw in an owner's manual and a spare! i just couldn't turn that down.
two things i like about the 5th gens is that there is NO antenna and only two keyholes. one for the driver door and one for the trunk.

No, no... $28,859 was the buy price + 3.9%apr and only Taxes & tags up front... But the Sticker price was insane ($31-32K)
Monthly payment was $530, but I opted for the 75K warranty 0-deductible and now my payment is $556.24 a month... not bad, considering I have a friend that pays $460 for a 2k2 G-20.
I'm cool, just as long as you guys/gals don't hate me cause I'm beautiful!
