Just got mine on Friday. Another 650miles and it's time to really play. However, I does anyone know how important the break in period really is? You know those idiots at the dealerships beat the crap out of the cars when they go on test drives with people....just wondering how much that affects things.

Any 1/4 mile times for intake vs stock cars???

I am at 1100 miles of pure fun. I love driving my car everyday. Now if I can just sneak some money out of the account to start modding this thing.

I didn't realize exactly how cramped the engine compartment is until I opened the hood... I believe it fits, but only because other people have installed it. There's not enough room in there to change your mind, much less install more hardware.

It says "sale" but how long will that price hold? I'm very interested, but not at the moment (read that - the wife needs more time to 'understand' the importance of 'less restrictive airflow'.)

Any longer I think I might develop a nervous twitch...

Congrats on the new car man I LOVE gray lustre, man where do you live, there are NO HLSD's here

BTW your very FIRST mod should be a 3m clear bra.

I live in New Hampshire and I'm looking at a clear bra. Just got a bonus at work the wife might not find out about ... except for that damn direct deposit . I'll have to do something about that.

I'm not really into mods. I've been reading here just to get background on the good/bad/ugly. I can see me doing an intake and maybe lowering it a bit, but only when the stock suspension needs replacing. Clear bra is a definite, though.

Where is 'here' for you?

thanks,

Re: it really fits?

At $60 for a complete intake with real K&N filters (read - NOT Monsterflow) you should be able to find that in your couch.

congrats

Great car but I'm tired of mines ("This is my second Maxima"). I want something alot more sporty before a house and kids come along.

Nice

Grey Lustre is a great color when kept clean, but let it get dirty and it gets so dull looking. Some mods: intake, FSTB, RSB, are so cheap and such easy DIY projects that you just gotta do them.

Coby: MIDPIPE?????

ya, i'll second that coby, how's the berk midpipe comin along. i love just the intake, it added about 2mph to my trap (broke 90, woohoo), but looking at everything at the track, i really want to get rid of the clisterf--k that is the stock midpipe, and i'll be loyal to berk if you can do with the midpipe what you did with the intake itself...

When you put in an aftermarket intake you basically take out all the stock components. (Which significantly frees up some space under your hood).

Hey, if you're interested i organized a Group Buy on the ADDCO RSB for $115 shipped. Check my sig or the Group Deals forum for more info. It ends on the 20th btw.

Well, it's been exactly a month and I'm at 2,300 miles and counting. Love the car...what a ride! I can't wait to be able to afford some mods. y-pipe and exhaust and springs come to mind first!
