Emergency

I need to know the size and type of nut used on the ball-joint of the Lower Control Arm. Anyone with a manual, this would be greatly appreciated. Either post, email, or message melteye (aim)

Got a part number on it... 0122500581.

I need something at least temp to see if this is going to work. Where would I find the size I need?

Your dealership should know.

Sorry I can't help more. That will be the best place to get it though.

I purchased all the nuts and bolts I've needed for my suspension at the dealer. Cost is usually pocket change.

I have the ESM, but all I can find is this....

24-29 (2.4-3.0, 18-21)

Key = N-m (kg-m, ft-lb)

^^^ That's listed on a breakdown of the steering wheel and steering column page ST-12 in the manual. Those only appear to be the tightening settings, etc. Nothing listed as to the part number (which you already have) or what size wrench/socket to use.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

Wait a sec... may have found some more... Page ST-3

Maybe that will help. I didn't want to convert them to jpg/gif due to time constraints, so right-click on them and choose save as. Then open with MS Paint or some other photo editor.

Well if your car's in pieces and you need it to get around, I think it would qualify as an emergency.

He's talking about the ball joint on the Lower Control Arm...

But seriously, go to the dealership. A crushed control arm is very common on many cars. Someone in service will be able to tell you.

14mm. I used one temporarily and am ordering one today.

I replaced the Lower Control Arm ($150) and put everything back together and lowered the car and the camber is still screwed up.. (Camber is when its at an angle when looking from front of car right?) so only half the tire is making contact with the road.

There is 3 more possibilities. Bent Hub/Bearing (I Doubt), Spindle, or Strut. The strut visibly looks fine, so does the Hub... I will be ordering the Hub+Bearing+Seal+Spindle just in case, have to wait for Dave to go back to work to get price and have them overnighted again. If the strut is damaged I will get coilovers.

What else could it be?
