Hey bro, I have no doubt that you worked that car. I drove a IS300, and that car felt WAY more glued to the road then my car. (stock vs. stock). Have you ever driven a maxima with springs compared to a IS300 with springs? Big difference in feeling.. Just my opinion, dont get all hurt on me now.
nah i never did spring to spring, but if i get a stock 5 speed max i will still dust off a stock is300 auto or stick. i drive better by myself, so no one seen my driving skills yet and i'm confident that i can eat the stock is300 anytime. the maxima is stocked glue to the road also, you just have to know how to drive it.

i use to hate Lexus but after my cousin bought an IS300 i have to admit, i like the look. As for power...umm...well, i think we all know a Max will win on that issue.

anyone know how much quicker e-shift (or triptronics) is compared to an auto or how much slower it is to a manual?

i would say it shifts quicker than an auto, because they don't have to shift like a regular stick, instead they press buttons, but for compare to manual not sure.

Sooooo!…I'll put my 2k1 max automatic against him at the red light. I'm not afraid because I have back-up.

Then when He whoops my behind, I'll remember how far it was.

I'll come home an get the the other car (Porsche 911 turbo) an meet him again somewhere at the light then he'll get my can of whupp ***…yep it's just that simple!

Give me 0-100 mph against the 430 and let's see who is gonna get to 100 first. all i have in my 5 speed max is a k & n drop in,,, took out the stillen one, because of low end lost.

sorta raced one...but not w/ my max

I stood with a black one (with about 4 or 5 people) at 80-85 for at least 10 miles...nightime...traffic kept them from blowing away...but my 86 toyo pu was not up to the task (275k miles on odometer). Which brings the point, for past 2 weeks, all potential is300 victims only show up when i drive my pu. I would love to take one for dinner with my max since my other option was the is300. I like the handling and looks but being that it would eventually cost me 34500 out the door compared to my max's 26500 w/ custom leather, i'd faired well with the max. 441 a month for 60 mos, and only 950 a year on 300/100 insurance, I'm happy. The is300 just seem too small, sorta like a civic, especially if its a black one. They could have put a non-turbo supra motor and gave it a six speed gearbox, like that of celica gts, and maybe it might be a different story... but then again.

by the way the custom leather I had put in is a whole lot better than what the factory ones are. They even did the door trims in leather too.

just my 2cents...

blew lex out

i raced an IS300 on the NJ Turnpike and blew him out. I have a 2002 automatic and he didn't have the power to keep up. I was even teasing him by letting him catch up then I would blow him out again. He actually was trying sly tactics by hiding behind 16wheelers and trying to sneak up, but I crushed his spirits.
