Okay, I'll admit they weren't all Ms. My memory was clouded by Madonna's cameo. She does get tossed around in the back of one M5 (or my Max is blowin' the doors off an S4!). With Clive pullin' the e-brake to make 180s. That's Guy Ritchie's film - which I think was much better than ****** (but I am getting ot).

Check again.

On the subject of the S4...anybody know if/when they're going to update the body style and/or engine? I've been seeing the new A4's poppin up, I think they look dope. (Even though it's just a nicer Passat...)

Another reason why he might feel so great about the 330i could be his last car was an auto? Yeah I know it was SCed, but with a stock pulley right?

A BMW 330 is about the same size as what, a Honda Civic coupe? Slightly bigger.

Personally I'd put 12k into a good used 300zx TT and 18k into a used 2k2 and save the leftover money I'd save into parts for either car. Now I'd have two cars that'll beat a 330 straightline and at least one car that'll beat it on the curves.

Are you gonna mod the CL-S??
You'd be surprised how strong the CL-S is up to 105-110 then it dies. It walked away from 3 modded Maximas in a row, a B18 CRX. Anyways, yes I ordered Comptech Springs from a guy already assembled on shocks!! :P Can't wait to lower this bad boy some.

I got the steal of a lifetime. 2001 330i demo with Lux package. The car had 6,000 miles on it when I picked it up. My lease is 36 months from BMW, NO MONEY DOWN I pay 407/month.

But i still love my Maxima.

This weekend I will have my friend drive my maxima and i will drive my mom's 2002 330i 5-spd and we will see how badly my car gets beaten.

I have raced a couple of SCed maxes so I know how my car compares, thinking about it logically any well tuned 4th gen 5-spd should be able to keep up nicely, and a SCed 4th gen 5-spd should walk all over it.

I raced a 2001 auto max in the 330 and walked it, but that is any 5-spd against an auto... my car can stand up to the 2002 auto.

i'll post some results this weekend, and if i had a vid camera id take a nice video..

Dude don't pay that kind of money for the upgraded maintenance. My dealer quoted me $699.00 and I said bull crap. He finally said that he would come to withing $100 of the Autobahn BMW dealerships offer and I said sorry but a $100 is still $100. You can call Autobahn BMW here in Ft. Worth and ask to speak with Bill Stubblefield, he is the F&I guy there. He will sell it to you for $399 plus tax and will do everything over the phone and mail you your receipt and upgraded maintenance policy. Hope that helps. If you need more info send me a PM.

someone lock this thread. BMW and Max are two different cars. BMW is much more refined, but Max gives more utility, more bang for the buck, and still is a nice car. You can drive a Max and invest the remainder rather showing off in a beemer. Hell, the exhaust growl alone is not enough. My stepbro loves his '01 325, and even wearing a BMW cap...but you had to see the look on his face when my cheap Max blew his doors off.

That car looks awesome from the side but the front and back view leave something to be desired. The 330i looks great from any angle.

You have got to get Eagle One A to Z rim cleaner, it is great for cleaning the brake dust off the bimmer's rims.

Great, thanks for the info. I think I'm going to pass on this upgrade, still need to get an alarm. By the way, in case you're interested in OEM BMW alarm, you can get it for cheap at www.circlebmw.com and install it yourself. Then go to the dealer and get it activated for $50. That's what I'm going to do instead of paying $600 at my dealership. What a rip off.

G35

Me thinks a G35 auto would blow the doors off of this beemer and handle just as good.

Usually do the S models one year after the A comes out.

G35 auto is faster than the 5sp 330, but does not handle as well.

What mph is the 02 Maxima limited to? I'm assuming it does have a speed governor too...

ps - i'm not trying to promote bMWs...just after watching that video, I miss my old BMW. still love my Max though.
There's actually a whole bunch of short movies besides just "The Hire." Go to www.bmwfilms.com My favorite is the "Star" it's hella funny!

NOT.

There have been no performance comparison articles on the G35 verses BMW because the G35 is too new. Nowhere in these mags does it say that the BMW handling is better than the G35. But Edmunds does say the following hinting at comparable handling.

Maybe Infiniti should take a cue from the old Folgers instant coffee TV commercial. "We've secretly replaced this man's BMW 330i with a G35. Let's see if he notices the difference."

The very next minute that man got a heart attack and sued Infiniti for stealing his ultimate driving machine.
