Nissan Service Plans

Nissan Service Plans
I am curious if anyone in the group has any experience with Nissan service plans for the Max? I am picking up a 2002 GLE on Thursday, and I need to decide what to do. It basically amounts to about $15/month over the 39-month lease, and includes all recommended service (oil change, tire rotations, xx,000 mile services, etc). I can take the car to any Nissan dealer to have the services done.
I am pretty good about getting oil changes done, but usually bad with the regular tire rotations. I normally don’t bother with the recommended 7K/15K/30K mile services.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance

One question...
kind of...
How do you drive? I mean, how many miles in how much time? If you only drive 5 miles a day it will take forever to get the full value of service intervals and oil changes...if you have a round trip of say 50 miles a day, well a 3,000 mile oil change cruises around every 2 months (taking into account some weekend driving)...

Nothing too crazy, it is a 12,000/year lease. So that would amount to four oil changes per year.

I would take it somewhere else for that type of service then...
one of the oil change places I use have prepurchase cards that give 6 or so changes at approximately $12.00 each (once the volume discount hits) AND they rotate while on the rack.
As far as the fabled 15K and 30K services, check into EXACTLY what they are and what really needs to be done...with your driving habits and lease term, you may not even make it to the 30K one.

Part of the sales pitch for the service is that Nissan has refused warranty coverage in the past if the recommended services where not performed. So for example the transmission dies at 20K miles, and I didn't do the 15K mile service, I could be SOL. Does this sound legitimate, or is this a strong-arm technique?

ha...
did anyone bother to look at the scheduled MX for 15K? Yeah, I inspected those things when I changed my airfilter and oil.
The dealer has their own profit generating schedule, but I use #1 in the manual. They can still deny you.. and you can sue them and most likely win..
My dealer just shut up and started doing the paperwork when I told them I did schedule 1 and rattled off how tranny was only check fluids.
