2K3 Clutch In 2K2
Does anyone know of any production changes made to the clutch/tranny designs for the 2K3 Maximas vs. the 2K2 Maximas? PACLARK01 posted that some changes were made. See link:

I am trying to verify this info with Nissan North America but don't have a response yet . . . they are researching. Any insights regarding changes to the clutch as well as possible fitment issues for a 2K2 would really be appreciated.
Thanks!

Updated 2K2 Clutch Noise Info
So I've been talking with Nissan North America about the clutch noises, etc. I asked them about the 2K3 Maxima clutch vs. the 2K2 Maxima clutch. It took over a week to get the response, I am told that it was from the actual Design and Engineering teams in Japan, that the 2K3 clutch is the same as the 2K2 clutch. However, I was also told that there was a production change for the clutch to address the "dieing squirrel" noise that we all keep hearing in 1st and reverse gears. I am now trying to determine which exact part has been re-designed. I am guessing that it will be one of three parts: the throw-out bearing, the pilot bearing or the clutch plate itself. I will post again once I have more info.
