maxima255nyc,
Do you have any recommendations on wireless camera, such as brand, model, and seller? Just got my passenger side headlight stolen last week. They pried the side of the headlight and left a slight dent, but not very visible. Anyways, just got the headlight replaced. I am looking to get a wireless camera. I live in a condo and am not sure how these cameras work having to go through concrete walls. If you have any ideas based on your experience, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.

Since then I have install an aftermarket alarm with a pager system and a hood lock. The most surprising thing for the thiefs are gonna be the THREE hella air horn going off when they thought they cut my factory horn. Also the little wireless security camera I have on my car that will show their ugly face on my VCR. I also bought the security bolts from Tim for the HID. I think this is the best security I can have for maxima. Right now anyway. Waiting for the new alarm that has a flame thrower as an option. Then they will pay and pay they shall. [/B][/QUOTE]

Where were you parked, and at what time did it happen? I heard some other people who got their HIDs jacked are gonna go to the 00-01 headlights to avoid that headache again.

I see this all the time
NYC is not the place for HIDs... The whole HID theft thing actually influences a lot of people's decision on whether to buy or not to buy the car. I've seen a bunch of TLs and 2k2s without headlights or with 2k regular headlights put in. There are even whole dealerships with all of their cars missing headlights.. I think that most of them just take them out themselves to avoid having them stolen..or maybe whole dealerships are getting jacked?
either way, I'd say this is a huge problem in NYC. It takes them about a minute or even less to ****** both of your headlights. I want to put HIDs in my 97, I'm still afraid that if i park somewhere over a long period of time i will come out and be missing headlights

THE BELOW IS POSTED ONLY AS ENTERTAINMENT IT IS NOT MEANT TO BE AN ACTUAL CONSPIRCAY TO COMMIT ANYTHING.
1)Look for a 2k2/2k3 max in the "right" location.
2)Wait nearby in a van with a couple of guys with pump action shot-guns.
3)When the thieves come----->Kill them with as much cruelty as you can muster before you need to get away.
4) Repeat as needed
5) Soon HID theft will disappear in that neighborhood.
This solution has been wildly successfull in 1980's Brasil (though the problem was of course not HID thefts).
