Which exhaust system is best for 2K2 SE?

I am in the market for a new exhaust system. Anyone have any recommendations and experiences with 2K2 models?

I have a Cattman b-pipe and Stillen rear section and I love it, it is awesome

How loud is your set up. I am trying to avoid too much noise.

If you are on a budget, get one custom made...... And before Y2KSE gets in here and says this, go with the Magnaflow SS.

There's been a tremendous amount written on this subject, jsohn. I'd recommend you do a search under "exhaust" in the 5th Gen Forum and then plan to spend awhile reading.

To cut to the chase, I'd recommend that you start by removing your resonator. That may give you precisely the amount of exahust tone you're looking for and will run you between $25.00 and $30.00. If you want more tone, replace your rear section. I'd recommend either a Magnaflow or DynoMax SS muffler with dual tips to keep your costs within reason. A complete rear section based on one of those mufflers should run you around $125.00 to $150.00 installed.

If you want to pay two to three times that much for bragging rights, by all means purchase the Cattman B-pipe with the HKS rear section. But don't expect any real performance gains over what I've recommended.

PS: You just got in under the wire, asu174!

I backed into something and banged up my muffler. This is why I need a new one. I don't know if the muffler shop can rebend it. I can hear a louder exhaust sound after the damage. So I figure I go with a aftermarket one. I am trying to keep the noise level to a minimum. I called Greddy and they say they have one for 2K2 models.

There are hundreds of universal mufflers that will fit.

Huh?... You backed into something? The rear of the 2k2 rides higher than a freakin SUV!... How did you manage to hit something? I can backup & park over a civic without scratching anything!
