Here is a generic picture. Mine are the same as the one on the right but they are blue. The seal, nut and cap are included These will work with other nissan/infiniti vehicles.

What exatly do these sensors do?

they send Tire Pressure Info to your onboard computer. These will work with 2007-2008 max and Altimas and Gs and possibly others

I am selling these as replacement or an extra set for aftermarket wheels so that they don't have to constantly swap

Assume you cannot just add these to a non-TPMS Maxima? My Maxima didn't come with it, and I wish it did.
