Just cam back from track!!!!!

r/t .215; 60' 2.253, 330 6.281, 1/8 9.606@73.56, 1000 12.466, 1/4 14.885@93.41

Finally!!!! I do realize that 100lbs =~ .1 sec on the 1/4 may be in effect, so hauling my big (I weigh 250lbs not fat ) @ss down the track at this time is really close to some of our best times here.

Tire pressure = 27lbs

Launched at 1500 rpms.

Temp ~54.

Thanks ga2000 for the tips.

I also ran14.894@93.8, 14.887@93.25, 14.981@92.95, 14.996@92.63.

I believe the track does have an effect , I got my best runs before people started running a lot of runs. I aslo ran on the left for all expect 1 run and before I was always on the right.

This may be it until I get some mods.

Well, thought the temp. was going to be lower than it is for tonight, so I'm going to wait another few weeks before I go back. I really want to hit that 14.7 or 14.6 mark, and I think I should easily with the intake, or at least I hope

Congrats jbgoodmax! 2nd Max in the 14's, hopefully I'll be there soon!!!

Where are you located ga2000? Georgia? ga=Georgia so I'm just guessing, but the humidity here is the absolute killer, not really the temp. It's just that when the temp drops from being over 100 during the day to about 78-80 at dusk, the air is so thick, I can't even walk outside onto my back porch and sit in a chair without starting to sweat or feel like I need to take a shower.

As soon as the first, good cold front comes through and it gets down around 60 whenever the sun starts to go down, then I'm going. I'm make sure that the next time I run, I match your time or beat it, or else I'ma be one unhappy camper! The first 15.2 didn't get my down that bad because I was expecting a bad run cause of the temp and humidity.

Took my SE 6sp out to IRP in Indianapolis last night for the first time. I had gone countless times in my previous SHO's, but this was a first in the Maxima, much less a manual. It took me a bit to find the keys for a good launch, but got fairly consistent 14.7's at the end. Here's the breakdown:2.389 @ 60ft, 6.325 @ 330ft, 9.590 @ 1/8th, 12.374 @ 1000ft, and the 1/4 @ 14.733 with trap speed of 95.44.

All in all I am very pleased with these runs. I was anticipating a 15.0 to be on the safe side. Clearly the trap speeds indicate that with a better launch the 14.6's are well within reach. I will get back out again in two weeks and see if I can't improve upon the times.

The only mod, if you want to call it such, would be a K&N panel.

Props bro!! nice times. Finally another 6 speed to run. I ran a 14.8 in the summer so im hoping for a similar time like yours. anyways last time i was at the track the lights blew and they had to give everyone a rain check so i only pulled a 15.0 before everything went out. anyways I bought a k&n panel since i went last time and it seems to flow a lil better and a lil noisier. anyways headin back this saturday if there is no rain. good job!

Very nice times!

Be sure to post up your timeslip and run info (mods, track, weather, launch technique, etc) in the 1/4 mile forum HERE and we can enter it into the official registry.

I was able to get 8 runs in! Quite an accomplishment in and of itself. First two runs were in the mid 14.9's with coma like reaction times. However, IRP is on a new light system and took a while for me to figure it out. These two runs were launched around 1750 RPM with tremendous wheel hop.....matter of fact the sunglass holder in the visor kept popping open.

The middle runs I experimented with higher rpms and different clutch release techniques...but no improvement. The times went way north to 15.1's to 15.3's and 60ft around 2.5.

Last runs were all launching at/about 1000 RPM and feather the clutch for minimal wheel spin. This netted consistent low 14.7's and 95+ MPH, however I still couldn't get a better launch than a 2.29 60ft.

Temp in dash was a very nice 64 degrees with very slight breeze coming across track. I would be guessing here, but it was a bit humid. My front windshield kept wanting to fog up for 2/3rds of the night. Also, it had warmed up yesterday to around 70 after having been in the 50's most of the week prior.

A lot of the other guys were saying they were running significantly slower than in weeks past. A buddy of mine who consistently runs 12.9's to 13.1's couldn't muster anything past 13.6 until the last run which was a 13.3.

Still not bad...this car is just a bear to launch hard. If you go again try some tire pressure adjustments.

it seems like the temp was about perfect mid 60s is good... if u get your 60ft to a 2.1 u will pull a i would say a 14.4 or so... i would say you should be two tenths better than me... the temp whn i raced was in the 70s highest it went was 78 and humidity was in the 60s.. so i still say i can pull a solid consistant 14.5s maybe evan a 14.4 out of the auto.. u can do the same with a better launch.. 2.2 is good but u can do better... shoot for 2.1s.. again nice times, pst the slip when u get a chance... have any pics of your car??

Fortunately or unfortunately....I do not have the HLSD. I didn't want to wait much longer for the dealer search to find it. I would assume that it would help on the strip, definitely for autocrossing.

No pics of the car as yet. I am thoroughly impressed with the running of your ATX...WoW!! I definitely believe a 2.1 60' is possible with my car, just maybe not with me in it. Like other folks on the list, I'm needing the full 265hp to carry my big butt down the highway. Also, I assume I would need to get a pic of the time slip for posting it? Might just be the excuse I've been waiting for to get that digital camera.
